Grad Information

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Following is information regarding our plans for Grad 2017, which will be held Friday, May 26th at the Delburne Community Hall.


The banquet commences at 5:30 pm. The Grad Fee pays for the students’ meals. Cost for parents/guardians is $15 each. The banquet is for grade twelve students, their parents/guardians and Delburne school staff.

The Exercises will begin at 7:30 pm. Because of fire regulations, we must restrict the number of guests at the exercises: therefore each grad will be issued sixteen guest tickets. We are aware how difficult it is to limit guests because so many friends and relatives wish to share the achievements of our young people, however, we cannot overcrowd the hall.

We will attempt to reserve the first rows at the exercises for parents and grandparents only so please ask your guests to cooperate in this seating plan.

We plan to have a rehearsal at the hall on Wednesday, May 24th at 12:30 pm. This is for students only-hopefully they can give their parents instructions for grad night. This is important to attend. We will be decorating the hall after rehearsal.

Finally, we need parents to help with the clean up after the dance. All decorations must be dismantled and taken to the school that night. Parents may take personal decorations such as baby pictures home.

Hello Grads and Parents,

As we reach the end of Semester 1, preparations for graduation will begin in earnest. We have met with our grads today to discuss fundraising for the big event. Our fundraising will consist of a Beef-on-a-Bun Dinner with entertainment and Silent Auction to take place on Friday, May 5, 2017. If all students participate in this fundraiser and sell their tickets, it will be the only fundraising we will have to do, as this event has been quite successful in previous years.

What you need to know:

We have Comedian Ken Valgardson entertaining this year. He provides good, clean, fun entertainment.

Donations for the Silent Auction should be delivered to Robin Ritchie, Silent Auction Coordinator. Keep track of who the donations are from, so we can acknowledge the donors.

Money for tickets can be given to Mrs. Smith

We are looking forward to another successful fundraising event. Remember this is your grad, so it is your job to make this successful. We are here to organize and help!

To Whom It May Concern,

The Delburne Centralized School Graduating Class of 2017 will be holding its Commencement Ceremony on May 26, 2017.

The students will be fundraising for the banquet and ceremonies by having a DCS sanctioned Beef-on-a-Bun Dinner, Comedian Ken Valgardson and Silent Auction.

If you could donate to our Silent Auction either by a monetary donation or a product/service we would greatly appreciate it.

Please call Robin Ritchie at 403-749-3838 (Delburne Centralized School) for pick up or you may drop item off at the school’s Main Office.
